iToner

August 31, 2007 by Michael Manna · Leave a Comment

Here is a blog entry I dound on ipodobserver.com:

Ambrosia Software announced the immediate availability of iToner 1.0 on Friday. iToner is a Mac OS X-based application that adds custom ring tones to Apple’s iPhone without requiring any special hacks.
The application sports a drag-and-drop interface for copying MP3 and AAC from a Mac to an iPhone where they appear along with the pre-installed ring tones. Since it does not require any changes to the iPhone or its code, ring tones will remain accessible even after iPhone software updates.

iToner is priced at US$15, and is available for download at the Ambrosia Software Web site.

Apple Launching Ringtone Management Sept. 5th?

August 31, 2007 by Michael Manna · Leave a Comment

iphoneitunesringones.jpg

September 5th is a big day for Apple as far as iTunes and iPods are concerned. However, now add the iPhone to all the fanboys speculation. It is rumored that purchased music from iTunes can be made into a ringtone for your iPhone. Also, you can pick whatever part of the song and set that as the ringtone. Along with purchases after September 5th, all previous purchases are included in this new feature. That’s great, but what is there for the guy who uses his iPhone strictly as a WiFi-enabled Video iPod. Sigh.

We Apologize……….

We are sorry that a full podcast nor a quickcast have been put up on iTunes lately. Robbie and I did record a couple full podcasts, but due to “technical difficulties”, the quality of them were not up to our expectations. See, you’re not the only ones who get frustrated by technology. As a matter of fact, that’s why we started this blog and the podcast…….because we have the most issues with every piece of technology we’ve owned. Anyway, we will have a new one up ASAP.

2 ways, here on the T4 Show myspace page or by giving us a call and leaving your thoughts on the T4 Show

Madden NFL 08 (Xbox 360)
256px-madden_08.jpg

First off let me clarify that I am not a football fan, I simply do not watch it. However, the fact that I work at a game store
makes it easier for me to play games that I would never buy other wise. Having said that Madden 08 to me is a great game.
I was fortunate enough to have played Michael over the weekend and DOMINATED (Lie) him as usual, and the funny thing is
that I had no idea what I was doing in the process of DESTROYING him (Lie). Visually Madden is as good as ever with the player models
being top notch and the arenas looking authentic as ever. One thing that really stood out for me is the new animations in all areas of the
game whether it be tackling, passing, catching and rushing. The online mode was a lag free experience for us and that is always
a positive thing. The controls are very easy to learn and are pretty much the same as the past 5 years. I figured it out in minutes.
Another plus is the fact that this year the achievments are easy cheesy, you can get all 1000 in only a few games in some cases.
As I close out this review I will say that if you are a football fan and own a Xbox 360 then this is a MUST HAVE!

Graphics: 4 out of 5
Controls: 4.5 out of 5
Fun Factor: 4.5 out of 5

Overall: 4.5 out of 5

The Darkness (Xbox 360)
200223b.jpg

There was alot of hype around this game since last years E3 showing of it. Now the Darkness has arrived and it doesn’t disappoint!
This game follows a guy who develops the power of an enity called the “Darkness” and uses it to take down his families
rival mob. At first glance you might think to yourself that this is just another First Person Shooter with no originality, but
after playing it for a while you will find it to be a compelling gameplay experience that is much needed in the FPS world.
The game begins with a crazy car ride that will pull you into the main story right away. Then after all that it mixes
exploration of the subway system and the local town in with a dose of fighting crazy demons and summoning some of your own.
The controls on this game are both simple and hard at the same time, meaning it handles the same as all the other FPS’s out there
but it can become a little confusing when you take control of the “Darkness” and try to figure out how to use it. That is all
I will say about the single player without spoiling it for you. The online aspect of the game is what I enjoyed…occasionally….
When I say that I mean that this is a fun online game with lots of different modes, But…..the overall lag and bad servers ruin
what could be a overall top notch game. Wrapping it up I will suggest you to check this game out when you can find it for under 40 bucks.

Graphics: 4.5 out of 5
Controls: 3.5 out of 5
Fun Factor: 4.0 out of 5

Overall: 4 out of 5

There was a no hitter thrown through 5 or 6 innings today at the Steviecorp Compound in Wallingford today. Also there were numerous bouts in Fight Night that SOMEONE had to keep “hitting the wrong button” and getting themselves DQ’d……

Best of luck in your future every game other than Madden playing Michael….

T4 Madden 2008 Showdown!!

August 20, 2007 by Michael Manna · Leave a Comment

Today, Robbie and his girlfriend Emily visited my compound in Wallingford, CT to spend some time and hang out on a rare day off for all of us. As can be expected, there were a series of friendly XBOX 360 games played. First off was Madden 2007. Robbie and I started out on very friendly terms:

img_0173.jpg

However, that all changed after Donovan McNabb threw 4 INT and I was down 28-10 in the beginning of the 4th Quarter:

img_0174.jpg

However, that all changed. In what can be described as the greatest comback of the year so far, I ended up winning the game 32-28.:

img_0177.jpg

Best of luck in future Madden Practicing endeavors, Robbie.

P.S.
Next time, don’t be cute and run the ball out-of-bounds when you can score and, possibly, win the game with :18 left. The technical term is “bitchball”. I don’t give a damn what Herman Edwards says.

Who cares? Sprint sucks…..and I mean that in the most objective way. Maybe I should buy one, have my billing screwed up, call customer service to complain, get my contract terminated for it and have a nice big black paperweight for my office. Sounds great.

MLB on your Blackberry

August 16, 2007 by Michael Manna · Leave a Comment

Robbie was really happy when he heard about this earlier today. RIM and Major League Baseball have worked together to prepare a BlackBerry specific icon/shortcut that provides one-click access to MLB scores, stats, schedules and more. Now this is not full application, but an icon that acts as a link on your Blackberry Home Screen. This may not be the ideal solution to sports nuts like Robbie and myself, but it’s a start.

Facebook on Iphone

We don’t have a T4 Show Facebook page, although I (Robbie) do have one, but there is a new Iphone app out to let you get on Facebook. With thing like this you have to wonder how long till MySpace comes out with an IPhone set up page to  let important podcasts such as the T4 Show get access on the run to our MySpace….. We’re like the Dane Cook of Podcasts on MySpace, but a lot less friends…..
