It’s not all love for the iPhone today — Apple just announced that Mail, Maps, Stocks, Notes and Weather are all coming to the iPod touch. New touch owners get ‘em all for free, but all of you early adopters will have to cough up: the bundle is going to set you back a whopping $20…….unless you bought the Touch after January 1st……I think….oh man, who knows? Just buy an iPhone.

UPDATE:Many people posting in forums seem to be very upset about this. I know that was a huge shock.

Yiling here, the above was posted by Michael, who loves his iPhone. I have a Blackberry Curve, which I love, so I don’t see a need for an iPhone. However, I got an iPod Touch for Christmas, it was a replacement for my 1st gen iPod mini, which I loved, but needed an updating really badly. I’m not annoyed about the $20, cause that isn’t a lot of money when you compare it to the $399 that the 16gb cost. However, these were apps that were already on the iPhone and intentionally left off the iPod Touch.  Now Apple had a change of heart and decided that it should indeed be included on the iPod Touch, FREE OF CHARGE! Except of course, the existing owners of the iPod Touch. So that’s my gripe about it, having said all that, I don’t intend to pay $20 for the apps, cause I really don’t have a use for those things, I have my Curve.
